The Story:

Bitcoin has now been around since 2009, so far it has proven itself as a viable form of money, as well as a stand alone financial ecosystem for transferring value. However, as Bitcoin is growing in transaction volume, this next quarter might have its challenges and many have mixed ideas about the future of this new technology. Experts have been divided over the key issue – to increase the block size or not. Along with this long running block size debate, Bitcoin will soon reach another critical milestone – the next reduction in mining reward (bitcoin halving). Here we have what might cause to the additional growth of backlogged bitcoin transactions and a reduction in Bitcoin processing power.

In this episode Kurt and Aaron discuss their thoughts on these uncertainties and upcoming events of Bitcoin. For anyone invested in Bitcoin or interested in getting involved, its time to get serious about your crypto strategy. We all have a paradise of research ahead… Join us in a portfolio shaking and fingernail biting episode of The Paradise Paradox!

[Edit: Kurt says that Bitcoin Classic isn’t widely used, but that’s incorrect, as Bitcoin Classic is now approaching 25% of total Bitcoin nodes. 10th of May, 2016]

The Story:

In this episode Aaron speaks about his thoughts on the feeling of success and the importance of feeling completely yourself. Aaron explains how to appreciate – how special your personal perspective is, and how special it is to accept your uniqueness. Other ideas such personal inspiration, life purpose, and how we are here to have fun – are also touched on. He also shares a few personal thoughts on navigating feelings and insight into his secret knowledge. So for the meantime take it easy and don’t over think things. Put your feet up, relax and remember that everything is exactly as it needs to be – at least for the moment.
Secret 1.
Success is a life style choice, it is your personal journey, your personal satisfaction is the key to living a complete successful life.
Secret 2.
Everyone is already 100% successful based on the limits of their reality – as they are the only one being/ playing their unique experience. Nobody can ever be as successful as someone else in entirety. A version of life success is not and can never be duplicated.
Secret 3.
To be successful in life, one must be successful in the moment. Success is a living universe and to be successful completely – one must realise that there is only one living your life.
Secret 4.
Success is living your life free from expectations.  This allows one to be their experience to full capacity and allowing all possible possibility, without being fooled into thinking that you should be something else.
Secret 5.
Having fixed expectations will set yourself up for failure. Expecting a certain outcome will open the opportunity for one to feel unsatisfied with what the universe delivers one self. There is a balance to find – concerning goals and desired outcomes without being attached to the results.

The Story:

In this episode Kurt and Aaron are discussing an ‘Anarchapulco nights’ experience, where Aaron had his mind blown. He recounts a conversation with fellow Anarchapulco attendee ‘Pitstop’. The conversation was based on ideas of capitalist vs communist – not so much in which one is better, but rather, which aspects could be used to create a better world. During this conversation Aaron’s perspective was shifted – now, a changed man.

Taking a look at this wider world, it is not difficult to see that much of it is upside down. Where vaccines cause illness, the law protects the guilty, government does not represent the collective public and politicians are financed puppets. Our world of capitalism appears to be nothing more than a brand of consumerism, greed and corruption. True capitalism has been taken away and hidden far from the naive and drugged first world. Has the wool has been pulled over our eyes? Or have our eyes been removed – somewhat like the beaks of mass produced chickens?

Homework for this episode, might be to check-in on your own understanding of a free market system? For the mean time feed your cannabinoids and put on your brain helm as here is another head rattling episode of The Paradise Paradox!!!

The Story:

In this episode kurt brings to our attention to what appears to be a break up over a messenger chat. The screen shot was captured and uploaded as a Facebook status. Kurt and Aaron enjoy the role play then discuss their thoughts on what is actually happening here.

There are super heroes amongst us, however for most people relationships can be daunting, intimidating and confusing. At any stage of relations people can find themselves caught up and emotional charged. The world is about to end – a text message wasn’t answered, the un-answered phone call, or returning to 12 missed calls. These are examples of the land mines of the dating game.

We visit the theme of personal perspectives, where everyone must be accountable for how we choose to interact in this world, Saagar put it, “You don’t see the world as it is, you see it, as you are.” Personal growth is the never ending story and closing this gap is a life-time of serious work. So to get a quick fix of higher knowledge, butter the popcorn and put down the Rubik’s cube, here is another mind expanding episode of The Paradise Paradox!!!

The Story:

In this episode Kurt and Aaron are talking about their recent personal events since leaving Anarchapulco, the largest Anarchist-Capitalist conference in Acapulco, Mexico. On the return trip home from the conference, Kurt was involved in a serious bus accident, where his bus collided with a semitrailer. On impact Kurt’s forehead was split on the seat in front and he awoke to gashing blood from his head. Thinking that this could be the end, Kurt was able to remain calm by controlling his breathing and acted smart by attending to his head wound – these factors saved his life. Kurt has since returned to Guadalajara and is safe and sound.

Meanwhile Aaron has found himself in New Jersey where he is visiting family, all due to a visa mishap. As Australians, both Aaron and Kurt have the luxury of easy travel, worry free boarder crossing and confident visa applications – that is if a visa is required at all. With an Australian passport one has access to 138 countries with no visa required and has a power rank of 9 on the passport index. However, Aaron’s wife has a Mexican passport, which ranks 22 in comparison – Joanna will need a visa to travel via the USA and a visa to enter Australia. Considering visas are compulsory, expensive and time consuming, it appears that perhaps not all people are born equal, whereas Australians live young and free.

The Story:

Bitnation is an organisation that has been labeled “governance 2.0” – which offers voluntary and borderless governance services across an decentralised platform. This platform for government can be designed to meet specific requirements for communities and has already been a success across various pilot programs – marriage, land registry and deeding.

In this episode of The Paradise Paradox, I interview Erik Vollstädt – the global lead ambassador of Bitnation. I ask Erik how he found himself involved in Bitnation and his journey to becoming global lead ambassador. We discuss his plans for team growth, task allocations and aspirations for a future global bitnation team of hundreds of ambassadors. This ambassador network will lead teams all across the world, the individual ambassadors will be directly involved with local governments and working to produce governance solutions.

Latin America is showing big potential, and that’s where Erik is choosing to focus. Building synergy between ambassadors will be beneficial in producing transferable products and tutorials for the citizens in that geographical area. Currently amongst the Latin American countries there are active ambassadors in Mexico, Colombia, Uruguay and Argentina.

Erik is eager to continue building momentum and increase the Bitnation team, so, anyone interested in assisting the development of Bitnation contact Erik on Facebook. Or just get involved and be a part of the new world, becoming a world citizen by visiting the Bitnation website.

Be prepared to have your world changed by a decentralised paradigm shift as you enjoy this episode of The Paradise Paradox.

The Story:

Most children dream of a trip to Disneyland, or visiting Santa at the North Pole, or maybe being locked in a super toy store over night. We are all big kids and we should all be active dreamers. It took me too long to complete my dream of taking the journey to Tulum, Mexico. I had plans to go in 2008 and 2012, but cheap thrills and weak distractions would always somehow get the better of me. Not this time – 2015 is and was the year.

The ‘Ruins of Tulum’ is one of the most visited archaeological sites of Mexico. This Mayan city, is situated on the Yucatan Peninsula overlooking the Caribbean sea, now ticked off my bucket list, and should find a place on yours. Please join me as I invite you to explore new ideas and an alternative view of Tulum. I have no doubt you will share new thoughts on this amazing ancient city. Even with my high expectations, I was still taken by surprise and completely blown away.

One cannot prepare themselves for the intimate experience with this ancient world. The site is beautiful, the climate is unbearably wonderful – very hot, the beaches are magnificent and I didn’t look at my watch – not even once.

In this episode I touch on the spirituality and mention a few cultural practices of the Mayan people. I speak about their beliefs in the earth’s energy, and explore the parallels of morphic resonance, consciousness grids, and the earth grid. The Mayan people built their cities with this intention and purpose of energy communication. They held strong beliefs in keeping a connection to their planet in balance, they also believed that the Yucatan Peninsula was the centre of an energy vortex. Tulum was constructed to represent to the 5th energy chakra, the Vishuddha. The primary connection with the material realm, the speaking of truth and manifestation.

Scientists have later discovered that this area of Mexico has strong electromagnetic fields which is believed to be caused by a meteorite hitting the Yucatan Peninsula roughly 65 million years ago. Furthermore, studies found that specific Mayan cities and structures actually magnify and focus these electromagnetic fields, in particular ‘El Castillo’ (the Castle), which is the principle pyramid of Tulum. There is no doubt in my mind that electromagnetic technology was discovered, developed and utilised by the Mayan people. Where as, today in these apparent modern times we are only just discovering the healing properties for magnet therapies.

Maybe the Mayan people were not so primitive as believed.

The Story:

Sun is shining, birds chirping, the distant hum of neighbours mowing their lawns and the ringing of a little bell. “Lemonade, come and get your lemonade!” shouted by two young girls. We can see the image – harmless entrepreneurship at work. “Fresh delicious lemonade, only one dollar!” shouted by your 10 year old daughter accompanied by her best friend, Sarah.

Your favourite morning coffee is brewing and its the weekend so, licence to be cheeky, one sugar please. Lost in the aroma, you notice that the bell hasn’t been rung in a while. Then the reactive mental note – maybe I should check on the girls. Then in an instant, you hear screams and the slamming of the front door.

No spilt coffee, but all hairs on end. “We are being robbed!” Sarah screamed from behind her sobbing. Now both girls crying. “What? Who?” you respond, hastily walking to the front door. Through the window, you can see two guys picking up the knocked-over disposable cups and the lemonade stand being loaded in their pickup.

You shout, “What the hell is going on here?” as you walk towards the two goons, your fist clenched with the uncomfortable rage of confusion. “Excuse me sir, there was no permit reserved to distribute lemonade on this street,” said by the Lightweight. Tapping his clipboard he explains, “Without a permit, no one has the permission to sell anything.” Even a sunday garage sale must be registered, with at least two weeks notice. You ask, “What about my daughter’s lemonade?”

“Your property will need to be collected from the collections office within the fortnight, or it will be deemed trash.” But of course, that’s after you pay the fine.

Thoughts and feelings from this story may be similar or even shared. Does government have more of the right to our property than we do? Where should the boundaries of local authority lie? Is the use of force justified? Why should we need to ask permission to be free? In this episode I tell of a similar experience, an encounter with local government authorities, where we ask these questions and more.
