Kurt on Anarchast – Living Freely and Enjoying the Ride

The Story: Kurt is interviewed by Jeff Berwick on Anarchast

A couple of weeks ago I had the opportunity to be interviewed by Jeff Berwick, known for his media outlet “The Dollar Vigilante” and his channel “Anarchast” in which he interviews notable anarchists, almost always beginning the interview with the question “How did you become an anarchist?”

I’ve been listening to the Anarchast for years, and hoping that one day I would be able to appear on it, so when Jeff asked me, my answer was an emphatic “Hell yes.”

I figured that, to make the interview entertaining for Jeff and for the thousands of listeners, I’d better prepare carefully, thinking about what would be engaging for them. So in the couple of weeks leading up to the interview, I wrote out many drafts thinking about how I would describe my journey of becoming an anarchist, “Free man on the land” type ideas and how they lead me to question authority, about the freedom that people enjoy in Mexico (despite its flaws), the anti-authoritarianism that exists here, spiritual experiences, and how life is full of wonders.

Sudden Shamanic Dancing & Immortal Alien Dreams – Episode 153

The Story: Dreams of an humanoid alien with a fountain of youth

If we pay attention to most dreams we have, we’ll notice that they’re normally based around things we were thinking or experiencing during the previous days. Similar to the memory technique where you picture the things you want to remember in a bizarre context, dreams rearrange the images of our lives in a weird way to enhance our recall. However, many of us have dreams which seem to be very different to our waking lives – seemingly coming out of nowhere – leaving us to wonder what they could possibly mean, and where the flying heck they came from. Could it be that our dreams provide messages from other worlds, that we open some strange doorways whenever we sleep? Could you even contact spirits or alien beings through your dreams?

In this episode, Kurt discusses a strange dream involving a humanoid alien who claims to have a “fountain of youth” device, and the epileptic fit and energy bursts that resulted when he tried it. We also discuss how it relates to a previous ayahuasca experience, about downloading dance moves from the universe, and about yogic nadis, or channels of energy, that exist within our bodies. We talk about the flat earth vs the round earth, and Kurt’s idea of a simulation earth or super earth. Aaron then shares with us his experience of being a father of an unborn child, communicating with his daughter through kicks, and Aaron tells us about the art of living.

Shamanic golden matrix beings – Luis Fernando Mises

Luis tells us about a peculiar experience meeting unusual abstract beings during meditation, happening to him as a result of his shamanic path.

Watch the full episode here: Luis Fernando Mises: Shamanic Aliens – Episode 146

Transcript

I kept doing meditation and then at some point I was approached by some beings.

They were not in the form of humans or cows or whatever. If you remember the movie “The Matrix” – the code – imagine that, but like gold. They were like blobs of gold descending on me, and as they were descending it seemed like they lifted off my depression. Their vibration was so high that I was just buzzing. That night, I went to sleep so happily. Before that, I was scared to go to sleep at night because I thought “My consciousness is going to end…” That kind of thing.

So I received a download from these guys, and the idea was “You’ll be fine; there’s more to learn; that was just the beginning. The real stuff is on its way.” Just guiding me through the whole process and lifting me up out of that hole was super appreciative.

Shamanic Aliens: Luis Fernando Mises – Episode 146

The Story: Luis Fernando Mises of Emancipated Human talks about his experience with ETs

Everyone at some stage in their life has looked up at the stars and wondered if there’s someone there, looking back. Certain organisations have spent millions of dollars on satellite dishes and radio telescopes, trying to find proof of life on another world. Yet, what if there was a technology that humans had used for thousands of years, which enabled us to contact extraterrestrial beings? What if, by putting our minds into a certain state, we could access the wisdom of the universe, and over the course of a few hours, receive knowledge that we couldn’t expect to receive from years of regular study?

In this episode, Luis Fernando Mises of Emancipated Human tells us about his experiences talking to extraterrestrial or interdimensional beings, through the use of entheogens – powerful shamanic medicines such as ayahuasca and huachuma, which have allowed him to have fascinating visions, bringing his subconscious mind to the surface. We also talk about his spiritual dance battle with a malicious spirit that has affected the life of a loved one, stretching back generations. We talk about his experience at a conference for CEOs, how they want to change the world by reducing the power of the state, and how capitalism is aligned with spirituality – because it involves service to others.

Ayahuasca: You don’t have to hike through the Amazon or pay $11,000

I’ve noticed a few times that when I post articles and videos about ayahuasca in Facebook groups, occasionally I’ll get a rather unexpected and violent reaction, talking about how ayahuasca is an experience for the elite only, that the cost is prohibitive, and when will regular people be able to try this experience which purports to be so life-changing.

When I first saw these comments, I was a little confused, as I’ve taken ayahuasca two times (here in Mexico), and both times it cost somewhere in the realm of $60 USD – more than an LSD trip surely, and perhaps more than a night at the movies, but not exactly in the realm of “maybe if I take out a second mortgage…”

My perspective changed when my buddy Aaron pointed out how the media portrays ayahuasca – with all the poetic visions that go along with it – hiking through the jungle, travelling by canoe along the Amazon to reach a 70 year old shaman holding a palm tree shaker, speaking in an incomprehensible native American tongue, which he later uses to sing incantations, conjuring tigers by the campfire.

Or people read about it in articles like this one from Business Insider casually mentioning the figure of $11,000 without explaining that, well, you don’t have to pay that much.

ayahuascainsiderf44f1.jpg

In an ideal world…

Of course, in an ideal world, everyone would be able to take this mystic medicine with a shaman who has a 1,000 year lineage, after a month of eating a pure vegan diet, abstaining from X, Y and Z, meditating every day, with spiritual guidance on hand… But, if you can’t get the ideal conditions, sometimes it’s best to just fucking do it. And you can do it.

Solutions

I’m told that in the US, you can take a ceremony for around $400. In Europe, about €300 – still rather expensive for some. However, new groups are popping up all the time, and that’s sure to drive the price down.

In some countries, you can order the plants online to make the medicine for yourself or find a supplier who makes the brew ready-to-use.

As I said, both times I’ve taken it so far, it cost about $60 USD – 1100 MXN, and for that I slept on the floor of a shaman’s house on my sleeping bag, listening to musicians play hymns and ícaros. But for someone looking for a more all-inclusive experience, I know of at least one group in Mexico which will provide a 3 day retreat with food, accommodation, psychotherapy, and complementary medicines such as rapé, for around 6000 pesos or $310 USD.

Ayahuasca isn’t yet something that you can obtain with extreme ease in a lot of the world. But it is getting cheaper, and it is getting more accessible. When the media tells you that you have to travel to a Peruvian jungle – don’t believe the hype.

Disclaimer

This article is for entertainment purposes only; don’t take it as medical advice. If you are going to do ayahuasca, do your research, and especially be aware that psychotropic drugs can interfere with the medicine, introducing serious risks.

Ayahuasca Reloaded: Alien Ayahuasca Trip – Episode 141

The Story: Kurt Revisits Mother Ayahuasca

In preparation for an ayahuasca trip, it’s best to prepare the body physically through a strict diet, for at least three days beforehand. However, one must also prepare oneself mentally by asking the question: what is the purpose of this journey? Some people will tell you that thinking deeply about your purpose isn’t necessary, because no matter what you come up with, Grandmother Ayahuasca is going to show you what you need to know, not what you want to know – which is true – but in my (Kurt’s) opinion, contemplating your purpose is vital, because you have to remember that the medicine is going to reveal a great truth to you, so you must be ready, if not to accept it, at least to face it, when it appears.

Before this, my second journey with ayahuasca, I tried to strip away some of my mental barriers – thinking that, I don’t really know what these visions are capable of showing me, so I have to ask myself the question: what knowledge would I ask for, if I knew I could receive the answer to any question?

At first I considered asking for some journeys to other realms, meeting strange beings, friendly buddhas on the astral plane, and extraterrestrials from distant star systems or adjacent realities. Yet, after some consideration, I decided to ask something more earthly, and perhaps more practical – to continue the work in healing my heart, to make my soul more complete.

In the end, I’m not entirely sure if I received the answers to either of these questions, or if I received answers that went far beyond my questions. Join us in the next universe-defying, soul-shivering adventure in … The Paradise Paradox!

Presidential election: Two party clown show – Episode 134

The Story: 2016 Presidential election: Two party clown show

This is the weirdest election ever! It doesn’t represent the idea of a democracy at all. The idea of allowing the whole population to have a say and choose representatives, has been lost long ago and apparently to the people in power, it’s obsolete. The US ’two party system’ has nothing to do with finding the best head and body for a free country, but rather a distraction for the masses. This current US election has the taken form of a celebrity reality TV show – just with a bigger budget. Where the contestants fight their way through a series of social media obstacles to a final and super episode. The winner takes all! Payment in full of all capital invested and a director’s seat to the empire. Presidential perks accompanied with all tools of the trade, the oak Hollywood desk, a fancy white house and a panel of shiny red buttons – 50/50, ask the audience, phone a friend.

After scratching the surface, it was evident that Kurt and I shouldn’t even be talking about this – why pay attention to the charade – other than for entertainment value? But this is no joking matter. Many, many people have given their power and responsibility away to these clowns. Watching the show, believing the lies and even picking a side. Who is actually involved here? Are your bets in? Unfortunately many continue to waste their friends’ time by talking about such rubbish.

Here is the truth – if we actually lived in a civilised society, with sound values and respect for others, there would be no need to live in governed regions, where people are controlled and manipulated. In today’s situation we need to be individually micro-managed – told what to eat, told how many hours to sleep and how we should be living.

Thank God that they all have television, I would hate to see what would actually happen it they started thinking for themselves, say the ‘people in charge’.

In a civilised country, government should be quiet and gradually shrinking away. A small and productive government shouldn’t even be noticed. Honestly, I am not even sure why free and civilised people would need a government. What they might need more is the protection from the threat of government.

What drugs do you use to contact aliens? – Episode 131

The Story: Using psychedelics to contact extraterrestrials

Many people believe that it’s possible, and even likely, that intelligent life exists outside of our little planet. However, when it comes looking at potential evidence, many would prefer to dismiss it. To find evidence of something which, to us, might be bizarre, we have to look at the bizarre, diving in to the unexpected. We have to consider evidence of UFOs, strange structures on Mars, and mediums channelling interstellar communciations – and, we should consider that maybe, they might contact us even more directly, by telepathic communication instigated by powerful hallucinogenic drugs. Could peyote or LSD help you to receive such a communication? In this video I make the case that, maybe they could.

The Story:

For many people, finding a partner is a question more of chance, than of design. They don’t necessarily start out with a firm idea of the kind of person they are trying to attract, and they don’t necessarily learn to clearly identify the specific qualities they’re looking for in the potential partners that they meet. And so, for most people, relationships can be like a kind of random walk, and in a culture that puts Disney-style romance above compatibility or the hard work of building a solid foundation for a relationship, perhaps it’s no wonder that so many marriages end in divorce.

To the minds of many, it may seem overly-calculating to try to design the kind of relationship you want, and it may seem contrived to work on a relationship to make something work, because the “natural assumption” is that love should flow effortlessly, with no struggles and not even a thought. Unfortunately, the reality is normally very different.

In this episode, Kurt talks to Aaron about the kind of attitude and energy that is attractive to a woman, and to people in general, about why he’s decided to not engage in sexual activity for the moment, and the kinds of things he is looking for in a woman, as a life partner, to create the most favourable conditions for a successful relationship – firstly, that she be bilingual, secondly that she is interested in psychedelics, and finally that she has learned the important life lesson of “Practise something, and you will get better at it.”

Let’s examine ourselves and our expectations of the world, in the next episode of The Paradise Paradox.
